Job Description : Bryn Mawr College has an opening for a part time Performing Arts Series Coordinator.
THE POSITION
This part-time position (14 hours per week) curates (in collaboration with the Arts faculty) and implements the live event Performing Arts Series (Dance, Theater, Music) for Bryn Mawr College and programs and implements three educational classical music events for the Learning to Listen program. Under the direction of the Chair of the Arts and in collaboration with Arts faculty (Dance, Theater and Music) establishes overall Performing Arts Series (PAS) focus and direction for a season distributed over a two-semester academic year selected from diverse traditions in dance, theater, and music. PAS programs are intended to reach the tri-college community as well as a paying audience that includes area residents, special interest groups and arts patrons from the five-county area including Philadelphia. This position averages 14 hours per week with some flexibility to distribute hours according to variations in job responsibilities throughout the year.
Candidates should have knowledge of the Performing Arts field and ability to research and engage with artists who will meet the focus and direction of the Arts Program and the College, demonstrated ability to plan and organize live arts performances and previous professional experience in arts management and program planning.
