Job Description : PO&G Resources is a rapidly growing, twenty two-year-old private oil and gas company. With the successful closing of the firm’s second investor fund, the company is currently hiring a Petroleum Engineering Technician. Headquartered in Houston, the company acquires conventional oil and gas properties and increases their value by improving operations such as artificial lift, water flood optimization, and vertical infill drilling. The company’s current oil and gas properties are located in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, Indiana, Wyoming, New Mexico, Montana, North Dakota, Utah and Mississippi. West Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado are the company’s largest operating regions. Current production is 3,500 BBL/D.

Position – Petroleum Engineering Technician:
We are seeking a key individual to fill the position of Petroleum Engineering Technician. The candidate will report to the Vice President – Operations and Engineering and work directly with the company’s Operations Engineers and field personnel.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing the company’s Avocet production reporting system to gather and analyze production data,
Preparing well and lease level economic evaluations utilizing the PhDWin reserve analysis program,
Analyzing pumping unit rod string designs utilizing the S Rod design program,
Working directly with the accounting department to generate production reports for management and financial statements,
Working with field personal to insure timely and accurate reporting of production data,
Assisting the Operations Engineers in projects to increase production and enhance field operations,

Qualifications: Previous engineering tech experience or Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with zero to three years of experience:

Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Ability to work well in a collaborative environment with both management and engineering team,
Self-starter who can pro-actively manage the completion of projects,
Practical and pragmatic approach to problem solving; hands on worker,
Well organized in order to plan work schedule and project completion,
Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment.

Salary commensurate with experience and education. (Range $50,000 to $70,000)
