Job Description : POSITION DETAILS:

Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts

FTE: Per Diem, hours will depend on the needs of the department

JOB SUMMARY:
As a Pharmacy Clerk at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego, you will perform general clerical duties and services under the supervision of a Manager or licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include cashiering; stocking and inventory; distribution of medications to patient care areas; assist with setting up merchandise displays; answering phones; helping patients pick-up medications; logging, sorting and filing correspondence and other records as directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
H.S. Diploma, GED , or Equivalent

1 year of experience

Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to deal with a variety of customers (patients, visitors, staff, etc.) and sensitive situations

Proficient computer skills

Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented

Ability to work semi-independently within a team environment, be self-motivated, and take initiative appropriately

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years of experience

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and handle cash
