Position : Physical Therapy Credentialing Specialist

Job Description : Growing multi-state physical therapy practice seeks a full-time Credentialing Specialist at our Fort Worth location. This position is responsible for credentialing and re-credentialing patient providers as well as ensuring enrollment with participating patient health plans. Credentialing functions include but not limited to, processing credentialing applications, performing primary source verification’s and updating and maintaining credentialing database in accordance with internal policies and procedures, patient health plan contracts, URAC guidelines and applicable state and federal requirements.
Our purpose is to “Strengthen Lives by Helping Others”. Working in a team environment which provides the highest level of patient care, some initial duties include:

Initiate and support the provider application process by sending, receiving and analyzing provider documents and data import to determine completeness in preparation for the credential’s verification process.
Responsible for gathering and verifying evaluating highly confidential and sensitive health care provider credentials consistent with departmental guidelines and accreditation standards.
Efficiently perform all aspects of credentialing verification, including initial credentialing and re-credentialing to ensure current credentials and/or review and approval of provider files.
Respond to all provider, patient health plan and internal inquiries in a timely manner.
Monitor expiring licensure, board and professional certification and other expirable documents with providers within the prescribed timeframe.
Maintain provider paper and electronic data files for patients; utilizing Clinicient to submit provider data as required to credential individual providers.
Responsible for accurate data entry to ensure the integrity of credentialing information in applicable database(s).
Use critical thinking skills to conduct follow-up with individual providers and internal and external entities to resolve discrepancies identified during the credentialing process.
Conduct sanctions and compliance monitoring and alert manager of any undisclosed negative findings immediately.
Actively participate in team meetings and process improvement initiatives to continuously improve work product quality and efficiency.
Keep manager informed of potential credentialing or enrollment issues.
All other duties as assigned by manager.
