Job Summary:

The Porter is responsible for cleaning, organizing, stocking, waste removal, and light maintenance duties for our offices.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
:

Sweep, mop, clean and buff hallways, stairwells, windows, lobby, sidewalk, etc.
Remove garbage/recycling from trash/compactor rooms and prepare for pickup
Periodically inspect the building roof and yards for any clogged drains, debris, etc.
Inclement weather preparation and removal
Report required repairs to property managers

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the requirements of the location:

Assist with any resident inquiry.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by direct and indirect supervisors.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they are able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Must be able to interact professionally with vendors, employees, and residents
Must be fluent in English

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 1 years experience in residential custodial services a must
Specialized training: Multi-family property management experience is preferred.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS

Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license as the position may require the operation of motorized and electric vehicles.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Ability to stoop, bend, push, pull and reach frequently.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. frequently.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primary work environments will be outside each property and inside model and vacant units, leasing offices, and common areas. Noise level is moderate. Movement includes but is not limited to walking, crouching, crawling, and lifting. Ability to work effectively and safely in environments that are not temperature controlled.

Pay Rate: $15.00/hr
