Job Description : SummaryResponsible for internal coordination of entire project from order and CNR to prototype (as a resource to Product Engineering) to PPAP and into production.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.Work with Product Engineer (as required) to determine feasibility of the design process, and in some cases, during the design validation process to enhance part design’s ability to meet customer specifications and load casesCreate timeline for project (using customer milestones obtained from Product Engineering) and ensure that program stays on schedule through individual contact with all aspects of project. Assists on and coordinates a recovery plan when and if program falls behind schedule relative to established project timelineDetermine whether tool designs will be done in-house or not and assemble all affected parties (Tool Designer, Die Room Manager, and Plant Manager) for required design reviews accompanied by the appropriate sign off proceduresFollow all outside tooling sources to track progress and alleviate any issues that may affect timingReview CNR’s and Pre-source packages (if required) and relay all information relating to the design, material specifications, coatings, fasteners, welding, assembly, packaging or post processing to the appropriate Iroquois personnel so an accurate implementation plan can be developedDevelop and maintain a part/program file for the purpose of tracking and documenting any and all correspondence related to any specific part or project, including any and all proposed changesAttend feasibility meetings with Iroquois engineering team to address and help resolve any manufacturing, tolerance, or assembly concerns or open issues before, during or after the quoting processSchedule “kick-off” meetings with all necessary personnel to ensure continuous communication and a complete flow of information between departments to address any and all customer requirementsChair engineering meetings at Iroquois to keep all team members apprised of any development or changes in design or program as designated by the customer, as well as elicit from team members any concerns related to design or processing in the form of an open issues listOther DutiesAssist (when required for awarded projects) Product Engineering and prototype sources in development of prototype process to design-intent and to insure that the prototype process used validates the intended production processAssist (as applicable) with the updating of Engineering Administrations’ wallboardsPresent engineering estimates or quotes to Product Engineering and Engineering Management (as required) for any customer-driven product or process changesServe as the liaison individual for Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing (if required) in the development of GD&T, design & placement of inspection gauges and measurement plans required to validate our manufacturing processProvide assistance as required to Iroquois manufacturing and quality personnel in the development of PSO and PPAP requirements including timing and any other related activitiesQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.- 18 years of age or older with the ability to work extended hours- Must be able to prove United States work eligibility.- Demonstrates the skills required or aptitude and motivation to master the required skills, essential duties, and responsibilities with reasonable supervision and training.- Preferred Education and/or Experience, but not required: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Demonstrate the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
