Job Description : Position: Purchasing AssociateLocations: Scottsdale, AZ; Cleveland, OHDuration: Full-time, Direct-hireCompensation: $50k-65k DOE
Summary: Our client is looking for a reliable, eager Purchasing Associate to join their amazing team! In this role, you will be responsible for receiving metals at the processor and other warehouse locations. You will be in charge of the maintenance and distribution of receiving documents which is critical to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

Enter data/inventory against ERP (Dynamics AX) transfer orders to record the receipt of material into processor and other warehouses
Enter transfer costs as applicable
Verify the accuracy of information on shipping & receiving documents
Resolve discrepancies between documentation and ERP (Dynamics AX) in a timely manner
Respond timely to inquiries from customers, vendors, and colleagues
Communicate with warehouses/processors regarding incoming material
Maintain and distribute mill documents/ packing list to processors when a railcar, barge or vessel is in route to their facility
Assist with other Purchasing-related administrative tasks and data entry
Facilitate the flow of information and documentation related to supplier shipments and warehouse receipts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
Effective, concise communication in person, on the phone, and in writing
Ability to organize, plan, prioritize and execute on multiple tasks under dynamic time constraints
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience in the steel or metal industry or service center industry preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
