Position : QA Head LACAR

Job Description : Alcon is looking to hire a QA Head – LACAR to work out of our US Headquarters in Fort Worth, TX. There is the potential for this person to be based at one of our Affiliate sites in Latin America or the Caribbean.

This individual is responsible for developing and executing strategies for the Quality oversight of all Affiliate sites within the LACAR Region (9), associated 3PLs, and Alcon owned warehouses.

In addition, this person will:

Own the quality responsibility/quality oversight for all products and systems within the Alcon Regional Organization including product redress, packaging, and kitting operations, and release to market.

Interpret external regulations and utilize Quality Management Systems to define and implement GMP-related quality concepts, requirements, and approaches for regional Affiliate activities and all related sites such as country organizations and third party logistics suppliers, transport, warehousing and distribution services for Alcon.

Ensure compliance of the regional/country complaint handling process for all Alcon products, including intake, follow up and triage for reports of quality/technical complaints and Adverse Events in compliance with local and international regulations, guidelines and applicable directives

Ensure that appropriate quality decisions, including the escalation and disposition of product quality issues, are made at the affiliates and provide the final quality direction and dispositions when necessary.

Ensure compliance in the execution and reconciliations of market actions and coordinate product holds across all Alcon stocking locations

Act as the Quality business partner to the Franchise VPs and LATAM Leadership Team, providing timely communication of quality issues and driving the implementation of a consistent quality culture across the region.

Ensure appropriate selection and development of the QA Head/Manager for each affiliate site to ensure their competence to oversee and develop the site quality systems, make sound quality decisions, and effectively interface external health authorities.

Develop appropriate strategies and systems from the QA perspective to best support enterprise objectives through effective business partnering and communication with key stakeholders

Ensure that appropriate quality metrics are established and tracked to provide early detection of quality issues/trends and to drive continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
10 Years of Relevant Experience
6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership

Preferred Requirements:

The ability to read, write, understand and communicate in Spanish and/or Portugese
