This job is a member of the Finance Team within the Finance Division.
Responsible for training the testing staff and assisting the Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst in coordination/execution of user acceptance testing efforts for Revenue Accounting (RAC) processes or changes upstream impacting RAC processes.

What you’ll do * Trains test team and executes functional and regression tests based on project requirements

Performs testing through to implementation and production validation
Interprets and understands Business Requirements
Creates test scripts based on requirements and reviews with RAC QA Analyst to ensure testability of requirements
Executes test scripts and reports all defects
Communicates test status, including progress, defects, risk and potential impacts; raises issues or concerns when necessary
Supports RAC QA and Product owner as subject matter expert support for testing, analyzing and troubleshooting data
Supports Product owner with unit testing and provides feedback
Ability to work flexible hours

All you’ll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience * Graduate (preferable computer science) or equivalent training/experience

Experience creating test plans and scripts
Test automation experience
Java
Devops experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications * Demonstrated understanding of testing techniques and agile methodology

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Flexibility to learn and adapt to changes in procedures and work environment
Motivated team player, who demonstrates initiative, follow-through, and sound business judgment
Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Team consists of 2 product owners and 2 testers. We work very closely with our core business and IT partners. We follow agile methodology and do iterative development. This role will be working with the PO’s to understand the requirement and creating test scripts, reviewing it with the team and business, executing them and demo the results back to the team before getting a signoff. So the person should be comfortable running meetings, demo etc. Need to be very detail oriented since they sign off testing on behalf of business.Key Projects: Refunds application enhancements and modernization.
Typical day: Tasks, Hours – minimum 8 hours a day – at times may extend based on project needs. Task depends on what is planned for each iteration. Interaction level with team members – high Interaction level with the hiring manager – medium.
Experience with testing tools such as: SOAP UI and other tools for web based applications supporting devops pipeline.
Databases/Coding Languages: Java and other languages. Good understanding of database concepts, schema etc.
Can write queries: Will airline experience be preferred? Or will QA testing experience within other industries suffice? Airlines experience is a nice to have Any other nice-to-haves: Test automation experience, Devops experience. Years of experience required for the role: At least 2+ years of experience in testing.

Pay: Up to $85,000.00 per year
