Position : Quality Improvement Director
Job Description : Horizon House, Inc. is a nationally recognized provider of services to adults with support needs due to developmental disabilities, behavioral health issues, and substance abuse. Horizon House is Pennsylvania’s oldest psychiatric rehabilitation agency. Since 1952, we have been dedicated to helping people with mental illness, drug and alcohol addictions, developmental/intellectual disabilities, and homelessness to stabilize their lives and to help them live as independently as possible in the community. With over 100 locations throughout South and North Eastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware, Horizon House provides services to a diverse population focusing on individual strength and choice. We are seeking a qualified Quality Improvement Director to support our Rehabilitation Services(RS) Division.
The Quality Improvement Director will report directly to the Director of Organizational Quality and Compliance, and will work closely with the Division Chief Services Officer, other agency QI and Service Directors on compliance and QI related issues.
Some of the responsibilities include:
Development, implementation and oversight of HHRS Quality Improvement, Client Service/Experience and Client Safety Programs.
To coordinate Division Quality Improvement activities to ensure program compliance with pertinent regulations, funding source requirements and agency and professional standards.
Through data collection, analysis, and inquiry this position will identify areas for improvement and develop plans to positively impact the experience of developmental services clients, as well as the workflows of the HHRS Division.
Lead the oversight and coordination of HHRS compliance and quality improvement (QI) programs and our effort to achieve compliance with all relevant state and federal laws, regulations and policies that impact HHRS initiatives and endeavors.
Develop, enhance, maintain and implement the compliance and QI programs using a data driven focus that sets priorities for improvements aligned with the agency’s mission as well as on operational and service efficiencies and effectiveness.
Develop and maintain a robust training curriculum consistent with the requirements of ODP and OMHSAS.
Requires highly collaborative and supportive working relationships with staff at all levels.
This position will exercise a significant degree of creativity and autonomy.
Supervise QI and training staff
Successful candidates will the following:
M.A. preferred; B.A./B.S. degree required in Business Administration, Social Work, Public Health, or other related field.
Five years of supervisory experience.
Administrative management level work experience; senior management level of experience desired.
Five years of experience in human services working with individuals with disabilities in matters of compliance and QI management in a role focused on quality management systems, performance improvement, and client safety.
Applicants must have familiarity with a variety of client experience and improvement concepts, practices, procedures, and should possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
Must have excellent oral, written, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to demonstrate capability with data interpretation both in written and graphic format.
Ability to present data multi-modally, i.e., written report, graphic display and statistical.
Experience in policy writing and implementation.
Experience working with ODP/OMHSAS is desired.
Specialty certification in quality is preferred and certification as an investigator is desired.
Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Scope:
Required sitting for long periods of time.
Light lifting and/or carrying, not to exceed 25 lbs.
