SPM Oil & Gas currently has openings for Quality Inspectors in Fort Worth, Texas. As a Quality Inspector at SPM Oil & Gas, you will perform inspections in a thorough, methodical, and accurate manner to ensure quality of products.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Working under the direction of the Senior Inspector accurately follows documented procedures in all functions of inspections
Interprets drawings ( blue prints ) and other support technical documents
Properly uses inspection and measurement equipment in the inspection of parts
Performs inspections in a thorough, methodical, and accurate manner, and taking the appropriate actions based upon the quality systems procedure manual and the acceptance and rejection criteria of the control documents
Possess knowledge of dimensioning practices, tolerance and technical team
Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
1+ years of machine shop and/or quality related experience and/or training

Top Candidates will also have:

At least 2 years of CMM experience
One-year certificate from college or technical school highly preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Knowledge of manufacturing inspection devices ( calipers, micrometers, block gauges, CMM etc.)
Knowledge of manufacturing and inventory software; internet, spreadsheet, and word processing software

Hourly Rate: $19-$24/hour
