Job Description : **IMMEDIATE START**
Reading Tutor for High School
610/ Yale area: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
Provide all students with appropriate ELL learning experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth; enable students to develop competencies and skills successfully to excel on the STAAR assessment.
On-site tutoring
Qualifications
Education/CertificationAssociates or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred.
Must be able to create tutoring plans
Provides high quality instruction to individual students and small groups
Provides data to school teams and participates in decisions about student progress
Collaborates with teachers, administration, and families to help identify best practices for individual and small groups of students
Organizational skills and initiative for working with minimal direct supervision.
Special Knowledge/SkillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsGeneral knowledge of curriculum and instructionAbility to instruct students and manage behaviorOpenness to change and innovation to meet the needs of all students
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
Houston, TX 77091: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
