Full Job DescriptionReady-Mix Drivers (ON-SITE North Phoenix, no driving on city streets)
Job Summary
The Ready-Mix Driver will be responsible for all duties of the position, including the transporting of freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to the job site in a safe manner. This individual will be responsible for making normal operating adjustments to the equipment and material being hauled. We are seeking a candidate with a cheerful outlook, strong work ethic, and great customer service skills.
Responsibilities
Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspectionsClean and wash vehicle to include the removal of concrete buildup on all exterior parts of the mixerOperate a radio to communicate with company personnelAdhere to all safety regulations including company policies, state, and federal regulationsReport all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occurAttend safety meetings as scheduled by managementTrack fuel usage and Hours.
Requirements/Qualifications
Must have current Commercial Class B driver’s license.Safe driving record (will have to provide DMV H-6 printout) – no serious moving violations within the past 36 months; no more than two moving violations within the past 24 monthsMust have familiarity with slumpsGood attendance and punctuality necessaryAbility to work in extremes of hot and cold weatherMust have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, frequently lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.), stretch, drive/sit and shift gearsAdhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulationsMust be able to work a flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, weekends, and nights, may be required.
Preferred:Experience in ready-mix or heavy construction industries1+ years of commercial driving experience
Conditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must have a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen. A current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate.’Work Location: Chandler
