Position description Receptionist responsibilities include serving as initial point of contact for individuals, internal or external, presenting to the work location. Responsible for demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, mutual respect, and service excellence. Assists individuals presenting to the reception desk whether in-person or via telephone. Assists individuals and resolves their inquiries or escalates to appropriate individual(s). Timely and accurately routes incoming phone calls to appropriate individual utilizing a warm transfer. Distributes, collects, and reviews documentation. Maintains supplies in accordance with established par levels and places supply orders when supply/par level necessitate. Provides support to other department activities as requested. May be requested to perform special projects as needed by work location. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Additional qualifications Proficient customer service and telephone skills. Evidence of communication skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work with interruptions. Proven ability to handle stressful situations and sensitive information in a professional manner. Demonstrated proficiency with the Internet and Microsoft Office software and web applications. Exemption status Non-exempt Compensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $16.37 per hour.
