Job Description : Duties

The incumbent is responsible to provide information and to assist patrons utilizing the Auto Skills Center such as: Assist customers with complex automotive procedures i.e. brake jobs, tune ups, transmission and engine repair/replacement, training and certifying customers in the use of automotive equipment including hydraulic vehicle lifts, steam pressure washer, strut and spring compressor, hydraulic press etc. Other abilities include brake rotor and drum turns using brake lathe machine, strut and spring compressions with wall mounted spring compressor unit, brake bleeding and safety briefings on tolls and equipment as needed. Basic knowledge of auto skills, outdoor storage and carwash facilities preferred. Computer operation (Microsoft Office knowledge and skills) (RETRAC program experience) preferred. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

One to two years’ experience in a related recreational activity
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance operation and the ability to identify hazardous materials
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in English
Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
