Position : Regional Parts Specialist
Job Description : The Role
The Regional Parts Specialist is responsible for ensuring Parts Department activities within their coverage area are working efficiently and as-intended. This includes process implementation and improvement, influence of, and adherence to quality standards, and performance against goals and metrics.
The Regional Parts Specialist will be responsible for performing site visits, collaborating with support teams, and executing special projects for the parts department. This position will require traveling to each service center within the designated region.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the subject matter expert in parts department process within the region and drive adoption of quality standards and best practices
Drive improvement of KPI targets through process implementation and rollout of strategic initiatives in partnership with Service Programs and other HQ teams
Assists regional leadership in new location planning, parts department set-up, and readiness
Assist locations within coverage are in building and maintaining channel planning lists to optimize service level
Coach and train parts team members and assist Service Managers in sign-off of assessments for leveling employees
Collaborate with operational support and supply chain teams to identify and address challenges facing our field parts teams
Mobilize resources, plan, and execute annual physical inventory in each location within the region
Travel is required: Expectation to visit each Service Center once per quarter with greater attention paid to those in need
Required Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated excellence working in a Tesla parts department with expert-level of proficiency with Tesla service and inventory systems required
Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Hands-on experience training, developing, and coaching teammates
Demonstrated excellent communication skills, including ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levels
Ability to lead without authority in a team-based environment, set direction, and guide team members to achieve common goals
Strong project management skills with the ability to adapt to change in scope, timeline, or focus without sacrificing execution
Able to travel frequently and up to two weeks at a time, as needed, to support other locations
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform repetitious duties including: regularly lift up to 25 lbs., sit, bend and stand for long periods of time
Must be able to occasionally lift to 50 lbs., climb or balance, kneel or crouch, and reach to retrieve parts.
Specific vision abilities required include: ability to identify parts, operate systems, and identify potential safety hazards in the parts department
