Job Description : JOB DESCRIPTION
insight Global is looking for a Technical Content Writer position at remotely for a Southern California based company. In this position, you will work with many engineering teams to create clear and organized documentation for complex engineering processes. You will be a part of the planning, organizing, writing and editing process for both existing projects and new potential projects. You will also work with stakeholders to ensure that documentation is following the client’s governance and policy procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with various teams to generate process, workflow, and architectural diagramsIdentify missing documents and diagrams, then initiate discussion with Engineering team to draft new documents and close the gapWork closely with stakeholders to identify governance and policy procedures are metWork with subject matter experts to standardize documentation for new site features
Create presentations for business proposals and technical reviews
Maintain wiki for internal documentation and other resources
Weekly document and detail production site incidents.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS5+ years’ experience in technical writing
Strong written and oral communications skills
Ability to grasp basic engineering and technical concepts quickly in a dynamic work environmentOpen Source experience such as Git or MarkdownExperience with the Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint and Google Docs
DESIRED SKILLSPrevious development backgroundInsurance industry knowledge
