Job Description
The Research Associate will assist Project Leads/ Managers in overall project implementation. Research Associates at Outline India perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to: 1. Drafting technical and commercial proposals in response to RFPs and TORs, including the development of -a. Rationale for proposed research approach and methodologyb. Detailed methodology including sample list and sizes, and tools c. Indicative/ tentative assessment frameworks, results frameworks, key information areasDesigning research instruments, including interview guides and survey questionnairesCoordinating with Field Managers/ Associates to finalize field budgets, movement plans, etcRunning pilot exercises, refining study design and research instrumentsTraining and supervising field-based teams consisting of field supervisors and surveyors Supervising data collection, including undertaking field visits, when requiredAssisting with data cleaning and preliminary data analysisCoordinating with the Operations team on a variety of tasks related to contracting and paymentsMaintaining relationships with clients/ partner organizationsAny other task as assigned by the Project Manager/ Lead, Subject Matter Expert, others
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in economics, social sciences, public policy, or related fields. Those with a degree in other fields but relevant work experience may also apply.Fluency and excellent communication and writing skills in EnglishPrevious experience of 2+ years in research and data-driven rolesExcellent management and organizational skillsFamiliarity with statistical softwares, randomized controlled trials/ quasi-experiments, is desirable
