Project Brief-
Evaluating Implementation of a Peer Educator Programme for Improving Adolescent Health under India’s National Adolescent Health Programme- The Health Promotion Division of PHFI in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India (MoHFW-GoI) and State Health Departments (Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra) is undertaking research study “Evaluating Implementation of a Peer Educator Programme for Improving Adolescent Health under India’s National Adolescent Health Programme i.e Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK)”. The study is funded by Medical Research Council (MRC). The study will provide research evidence needed to effect real and practical changes to improve adolescent health. The lessons learnt from this research would inform scale up of Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK) components in India.

Deliverables:
Development of coding framework from the data collected from the qualitative component of the study.
Assist in Qualitative data analysis in consultation with the Principal Investigator and other co-investigators of this study.
Assist in Manuscript writing in consultation with the Principal Investigator and other co-investigators of this study.
Drafting of report from the qualitative component of the study.
Liaison with UK investigator who is guiding the qualitative component of the study.
Responsible for maintaining the qualitative data for central repository.
Development of coding framework and undertaking thematic analysis.
Development of project and study reports.
Maintain records of calls and decisions on qualitative component of study as discussed during study update meetings, fortnightly calls with UK investigators, IPSC and any other discussions with the Ministry of Health and state and district RKSK teams.
Any other task assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications-
Essential:

Master’s in public health, social sciences or allied fields.
Masters in Sociology or Medical Anthropology

Desirable:

PhD. Masters with five years of relevant experience in qualitative research.
Experience:
Essential

Experience of conducting data collection, analysis and report writing for qualitative health research.
Knowledge and expertise in using NVIVO or any other qualitative analysis software.
Using Endnote and other referencing softwares.

Desirable:

Experience of designing qualitative evaluation in implementation science research.
Around 4 years of research experience.
