PURPOSE:
The ROV Pilot I is an ROV trainee who works as a member of the ROV team and contributes to ROV operations, maintenance and repair activities. This includes but is not limited to; assisting with various documentation, mobilization, and installation, and operation of ROV Services with TFMC’s respective customers, and other duties as required by Supervisor / Superintendent.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for
To assist with ROV operations as instructed and in accordance with approved procedures and TFMC QHSES Policy & Objectives.To complete, as requested, daily documentation and produce accurate detailed reports as well as project deliverables.To perform ROV system maintenance in compliance with TechnipFMC schedules.Assist with system stock control.To perform Corrective and Equipment Breakdown reporting.To maintain good housekeeping in and around ROV work areaTo carry out tasks deemed within candidates capability/competency as requested by Supervisor / SuperintendentAssist with the Launch and Recovery of the ROV system.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalentTypically 1- 3 years of experience in trade backgrounds including but not limited to:
o Mechanics (I.e. Automotive, Aviation, Diesel, Heavy Equipment, Small Engine)
o Electronics
o Field Technician and Military Technologies (I.e. PCB’s, Fiber, Communications, Sonar, Instrumentation, etc)
o Hydraulics
o Troubleshooting experience/skills desired
Valid Driver’s license and Passport for required travelAbility to obtain Industry Standard Offshore CertificatesAbility to pass or obtain Offshore Medical (UKOA)Ability to obtain TWICAbility to work remotely with limited supervisionKnowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applicationsPossesses a service oriented business mentalityOrganizational skills as well as the ability to effectively communicate in EnglishAbility to work in a team-oriented environmentWilling and able to work in an offshore environment in excess of 200 days a year

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily in the field environment including offshore drilling and production platforms, installation vessels and international locations, when required.Work is outside and conditions are dependent on the elements (heat, cold, wet, etc.).Work is often required to be performed in high noise areas and is completed in an offshore vessel environment with various lubricants, grease and other hazards to be aware of.Must be able to work varied schedule with extended hoursMay be exposed to possible hazards including working with high-pressure equipment, high noise, inclement weather, chemicals, pressure testing, heavy lift operations and shop/field traffic.This position is often required to be performed in high noise areas and is often completed in a very dirty environment.Must be able to work varied schedule with extended hours.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Office environment requires sitting, operating a computer, walking and some lifting. Hands-on labor in shop and/or field environment, which requires frequent lifting, walking, stooping, bending, and some climbing.Uses mechanical hand tools including all types of manual wrenches and many types of power tools driven by hydraulics, electronics and pneumatics.
