As a Parts Clerk I, you will inventory, stock, and issue parts and supplies; purchase assigned or designated parts and services from vendors; work under immediate supervision from detailed verbal / written instructions.

We are looking for:

MHE certification
1 year of experience in Parts Department

What is the work?

Develops / applies basic skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and / or equipment appropriate to area of specialization
Inventory Management:
– Receives into stock; opens work orders; issues parts to internal mechanics using first in – first out (FIFO)

Accepts warranty items; receives returned parts for warranty evaluation
Receives / picks up parts from vendors
Performs basic inventory practices; performs standardized duties / tasks

Customer Service:

Performs basic customer service duties
Answers / resolves routine customer questions and problems; refers more complex issues to higher levels

What is your background?

High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in Parts Department
MHE certification
Experience / familiarity with inventory practices (FIFO, Cycle Counts, Annual Inventory)

Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Parts Clerk?

Strong organization and time management skills
Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite
Effective written / verbal communication skills
Personal leadership skills
Ability to multi-task; attention to detail

Can you…

Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment
Sit for an extended period of time
Lift up to 20 lbs on a regular basis; 50 lbs or more on occasional basis; 100 lbs or more on a regular basis
Use arms / hands in repetitive motion
Work sitting, standing, stooping, bending, or in a prone position
Work with hands over head
Climb and work from a ladder
Work extended hours and or rotating schedules, and on holidays, nights, and weekends
Properly wear PPE for an extended time
