Job Description : Scott Dunn is an award-winning luxury tour operator creating tailor-made vacations to destinations all over the world. With offices in the UK, US and Singapore, we pride ourselves on providing outstanding service to all our guests from the moment they begin their research online, right the way through to post-vacation evaluations.
Role PurposeAs a Latin American Travel Consultant at Scott Dunn, you will be part of our dedicated Latin American team and will focus on selling customized holidays to Latin America for our guests. You will have the opportunity to make anything happen, and will be working within a tailormade sales team creating, selling and administering luxury holidays.
Responsibilities
To take ownership of all aspects of selling and organizing a holiday, including written and verbal quotations and documentation about the trip
To be creative in planning the ultimate holiday for your guest which meets their individual needs
To develop excellent product knowledge for your immediate sales area but also within all areas of the Scott Dunn portfolio
To work towards individual and team sales targets
To contact guests right before departure and on their return to ensure they are all set and ready to go as well as receive feedback upon their return
To deliver excellent guest service at all stages of booking and demonstrate the key values of Scott Dunn Travel
To support all marketing initiatives in your area including print materials, website updates, email campaigns, PR and promotional events
To meet guests on a face-to-face basis when possible
To learn and become conversant with all computer software applications
To work closely with all departments within Scott Dunn – internationally and domestically
DutiesThe duties that derive from these responsibilities include but are not exclusive to:
Taking responsibility for the guest journey from first point of contact to post travel
Demonstrating excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all communication with guests
Speaking to all guests on the phone and organising their holiday, by effectively listening to the guest and their requirements
Using sales skills to convert enquiries into bookings
Responding to all enquiries in an efficient and timely manner
Handling high volumes of guest phone calls during peak periods
Meeting guests face to face when possible
Using your excellent customer service and communications skills, both verbal and written
Management of invoices including handling payments, collecting guest details and organising pre-arrival information
Completing all travel documentation within specified time frames
Maintaining contact with guests between booking and departure date, including arranging all concierge requirements
Recording essential data and information using Scott Dunn’s IT software
Acting on any feedback swiftly to ensure a great guest experience, liaising with the Guest Satisfaction Executive where necessary
Booking of guest flights when requested and managing reservations through Travelodge
Attending all internal and external training courses
Conducting familiarisation trips abroad and presenting back to teams
Attending trade shows, and promotional events
Training colleagues with knowledge gained from areas visited
Accounting for costs and margins on each booking
Contributing to the team over and above standard sales and service requirements
Such other duties as management may reasonably require from time to time

LocationPlease note this role is based working remotely in the East Coast time zone, or based in our San Diego office covering East Coast hours.
