Game Theory Board Game Lounge is an exciting new concept. Our #1 focus is on the customer experience. Our vision is to create a community environment where friends and family can enjoy a game night filled with laughter and fun. Our menu is centered around gourmet pies, comfort-style dishes, and specialty craft cocktails.
We are looking for passionate Game Guides (servers) who enjoy a different challenge every day. Our goal is for Game Guides to manage the guest’s experience by effectively teaching and recommending games from our expansive catalog of over 500 games. Our menu has been hand-picked to provide an exciting selection with something for everyone.
Our environment has an emphasis on teamwork, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. This is not your traditional server job. We work hard and play hard.
This position requires determination and attention to detail. No previous experience required but some previous experience in food service would be preferred.
Responsibilities OverviewMust successfully complete training programHave strong knowledge of Game Theory’s board game menuHave the confidence to teach and recommend board games according to GT frameworkTake orders and serve food & beverages in an efficient mannerCoordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure the quality of the food and beveragesProvide the highest quality of service to the customer at all timesBe a team player and support fellow team members.
Additional Information:Must be able to work weekends, specifically Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Job Requirements:Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beveragesMust obtain food handler permit and complete TABC seller trainingExperience in high volume or fast casual restaurant environment preferredAble to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing mannerAbility to transport and carry objects such as high chairs, ice bins and glass racks weighing up to 30 lbs. numerous times throughout the shiftAbility to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 8 hoursAbility to communicate effectively, including the ability to speak and write in EnglishAbility to listen effectively, process information quickly, and transfer knowledge to others in order to ensure standards of quality are met consistently
