Job Description : Quality Assurance Spec III

The Settlement Agreement Coordinator reports directly to the Director of the State Supported Living Center. This position will be responsible for monitoring compliance with the Department of Justice Settlement Agreement. This position will monitor and develop reports demonstrating observations as a result of plans of correction based on State Office systemic improvement plans. Position will provide on-going evaluations/assessments (e.g., observations, interviews, record reviews) of basic requirements of the twenty sections of the Settlement Agreement. A key component of this position will be to monitor program compliance for each discipline area. This position will provide reliability checks for facility staff assessing active treatment and other types of service delivery and submitting facility data. Work schedule may vary in order to complete monitoring and special projects.

Essential Job Functions:
Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.

Assists and works closely with residential services and quality enhancement staff in monitoring the quality improvement, resident care and active treatment of the facility.

Monitors and assesses the development and coordination of individuals’ active treatment plans.

Monitors program evaluations and formal training programs in order to identify effectiveness and standard compliance.

Monitors compliance for each area within the Settlement Agreement.

On-going monitoring and assessment of progress of facility’s compliance with the Settlement Agreement.

Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency’s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Ability to accurately and clearly interpret/develop pertinent policies/procedures and technical reports.

Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, individuals, parents, members of the community in work context.

Ability to organize, coordinate and delegate routine and complex tasks.
Ability to develop monitoring systems, collect and analyze information.

Ability to make effective decisions regarding meeting the requirements of the Settlement Agreement.

Demonstrated skill in computer use (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).

Ability to demonstrate commitment to facility mission and workplace/service values.

N/A

Initial Selection Criteria:
Experience planning, organizing, implementing and measuring effectiveness of service delivery.

Experience monitoring operational compliance with quality standards.

Technical or direct supervisory experience.

Experience with delivery of services to people with disabilities.

All State Supported Living Center employees are subject to Random drug testing.

Flexibility in work hours may be required for this position. The position may be required to work overtime and/or extended hours. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
