Job Description : Shipping Clerk – 3rd Shift
Dietz and Watson, headquartered in Northeast Philadelphia, has an excellent opportunity for a Shipping Clerk in our Logistics Department. Qualified candidates should possess previous experience working in a logistics distribution department along with a working knowledge of the below responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities include checking weights of inbound and outbound trailers, confirming all documentation, checking drivers in and out, preparing all driver documentation including invoices, manifests, BOL’s and packing slips. Reconciling all contents against paperwork and records such as manifests, invoices, all orders and confirming that the driver signs all paperwork correctly. This position also checks orders for overages/shortages before items are shipped out.
The Shipping Clerk completes documents such as receiving receipts, POD’s, transfers and updating the loading dock board. The shipping clerk answers incoming phone calls from customers placing orders or drivers needing assistance.
Must possess working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook Email.
Hours: 9:30pm – 6:00am

Minimum Requirements
Must be able to read and write English.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
Able to work overtime and weekends when needed.
Able to work in a cold work environment.
Must possess excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
Walking, Sitting, Standing, Bending, Twisting
Lifting up to 20 pounds, at arm’s length, on a continual basis
Occasionally lifts up to 60 pounds
Use of both hands and arms
Hours: 9:30pm – 6:00am
