Job Description : What does the job involve?
Performs administrative functions related to the shipping of materials and products. Examine, verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare paperwork for shipment, including, addressing merchandise or material and arranging for the transportation of products.
What will my responsibilities include?

Examine, verify and maintain records on outgoing shipments – assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards. Prepare paperwork for shipment, including certification packages, addressing merchandise or material, and arranging for the transportation of products.
Determine appropriate shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Follow appropriate shipping procedures including contacting carriers to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, and damages, and discrepancies for reporting accounting and recordkeeping purposes. Review and maintain material certifications to include completing certificates of conformance and accountability sheets. Perform filing functions.
Compute and record shipment and distribute daily shipping reports.
May include identifying material with part number, revision, and other information per required specifications or other duties in the production, shipping, and/or receiving areas.
Demonstrate ability to appear for work on time, work overtime when necessary, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, work safely, comply with corporate policies, goals and objectives, accept constructive feedback, establish goals and objectives, and exhibit initiative and commitment.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
