In this position with RoundGlass Foundation (RGF), you will be responsible implementing the RGF’s Regenerative Farming initiative across the state of Punjab with the vision todevelop the state as the leading hub for regenerative agriculture and innovation to enhance and sustain the economic, social and environmental growth to contribute towards creating a model village that creates wholistic wellbeing for everyone. This is an exciting role wherein you will build and execute programs focused on improving the agroecosystems (soil, water, and biodiversity) in targeted geographies

What you’ll do:
Assume day-to-day responsibility for the overall coordination and development of the regenerative farming work in Punjab
Supervision and coordination of the regenerative farming participatory action research (FPAR) team (field team and external partners/farmers). The duties of this team include:
Field Monitoring and Support: Conduct regular backstopping and follow up visits to field training programes, FPAR, Field Days, community planning and workshops and other field activities
Training Workshops and Meetings: Based on local conditions, assist in the identification, preparation, organization, conducting and reporting of various workshops, meetings and training activities.
Materials Development: Prepare, update and/or adapt training and informational materials.
Take responsibility for guiding the development of periodic work plans at field level, including seasonal workplans and budgets, for field activities of the regenerative farming
Work closely with various agricultural research institutes, agricultural colleges/universities, private and public sector organizations. Explore ways that these institutes can support the implementation of the program
Identify avenues to build a talent pipeline for the initiative. Build the team as the program scales-up
Liaise with other organizations involved in the implementation of the regenerative and/or agroecological farming in Punjab to identify synergistic opportunities
Be involved in the development and implementation of program baseline assessment, monitoring, evaluation and impact and other such activities
Accountable for compiling field data in a timely manner, and sanitized in accordance with requirements and produce various reports and other documentation in Punjabi and English for the program
Develop database and e-platform for connecting the village, districts and state offices with the support of IT team
Who we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s / Master’s in Agronomy, Agriculture, Environmental Science or other such related domain with at least 5 years’ working experience across pertinent domains
Experience managing projects in rural settings
Experience in managing information and data
Working knowledge of farmers participatory approach, farmers field school and ability to collaborate with farmers, community organizations, government agencies, and non-profit organizations
Background knowledge of Farmers Producers organization
Experience in agriculture, especially in agroecology, System of Rice/Wheat Intensification (SRI/SWI), Integrated Pest/Production Management (IPPM), Conservation agriculture (CA) and other regenerative practices.
Strong knowledge of commercial agriculture relevant to specialty crops, field crops, horticulture, natural resource management, farm marketing, and farm business management
Familiarity with integrated farming systems, concepts of sustainability and environmentally friendly, regenerative agricultural practices
Ability to build relationships with farmers, ranchers, community organizations, government agencies, and non-profit organizations
Ability to work in a challenging, fast paced, results-oriented environment under minimal supervision
Able to collaborate with and adapt to multi-cultural working environment and with diverse national and international partners
Knowledge of voluntary carbon standards, GIS tools etc. is a strong plus
Able and ready to commute to villages frequently
