Position : SUE Technician II

Job Description : SUE Technician II for the Subsurface Utility Engineering Department in our Dallas office, Texas. Essential functions: Designate underground utilities using electromagnetic locating equipment, record and document the underground utility field data, must operate and maintain company equipment and vehicles, and follow company safety standards.
Qualifications:

Two (2) years of designating utilities with vac truck experience preferred.
Ability to research and review utility company records and identify utilities from field observation.
Knowledge and experience with utility locating equipment.
Capable of making field decisions without direct supervision.
Excellent communication skills and a team attitude.

Job Requirements:

Locate underground utilities using nondestructive methods (Level A).
Designate utilities using electromagnetic locating equipment (Level B).
Research utility company records (Level D).
Constant communication with other team members and supervisors.
Operate and maintain company equipment and vehicles.

Physical Requirements:

Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Ability to carry SUE equipment and supplies.
Repeated motions (bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and handling).

Environmental Factors:

Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments (approximately 90% of duties to be performed outdoors and 10% performed indoors).
Entering confined spaces.
Exposure to construction and traffic work zones.

Expected hours of work/Travel:

Working hours 7:00am to 4:00pm.
