Job Description : Position:
Summer Program Staff
General Duties:
Responsible to plan, lead, and supervise creative summer camp programs that enrich the experience of the Members we serve. Possesses the ability to be trained on how to interact with the population we serve and implement those trainings throughout the summer. This includes and is not limited to assisting members and other staff in emergency situations, assisting in physical care and direct supervision of members, ability to recognize environmental stressors or hazards for the members, ability to observe and interact appropriately with a member who is working through a behavior.
Qualifications:
· Prior work experience in a summer camp environment and/or prior experience with the population we serve.
· Ability to perform physical tasks inherent in job responsibilities.
· Willingness to be flexible and help where needed in Camp Civitan programs and facilities.
· Minimum age: 21 with a valid driver’s license and ability to meet Camp Civitan
insurance requirements
· Ability to recognize that our members are the number one focus throughout the summer.
· Ability to design and implement creative summer program.
· Possesses leadership skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with members, parents, staff, and visitors.
· Committed to Camp Civitan’s Mission and maintaining appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures
Responsibilities:
· Help prepare, inventory, and maintain program resources
· Plan and implement creative summer programming
· Plan and lead daily Member activities and evening programs
· Abide by all policies and procedures, ensure program follows ACA standards and a safe environment
· Assist with beginning and end of season duties
· Help clean camp at the start and close of each weekly session and assist with
· Assist with the check- in process
Compensation:
· Base salary of $600.00/week plus room and board. Starting 1 week before staff training.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: From $600.00 per week

Phoenix, AZ 85032: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
