Job Description : Legacy Swim Academy is looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals to be trained and work as swim instructors, substitutes and/or deck attendants at our two Coronado locations. We host lessons M-F 215-615 and Sa 9-1230 at the BBMAC (Coronado High School) and also host lessons Tu, Th 3-6 and Sa 9-12 at the Coronado Community Center. Great part time positions with higher pay in shorter shifts. We are looking for minimum commitments of 3 days per week as an Instructor and can supplement up to 3 more days of Deck Attending. Minimum commitment of 10 hours are expected and can offer up to 24 hours per week.
An ideal candidate for this position is someone who is responsible and aware, works well with children and enjoys aquatic activities! We offer lessons in an outdoor pool that is heated to 86 degrees and host Parent/Child, Learn To Swim, Developmental and Advanced Technique lessons. These are small group classes with 2-4 students enrolled; instructors can wear plastic face shields and other personal protection.
30 hours of training are expected to be completed upon hiring before instructing classes independently.
INCENTIVES: $100 Bonus for each Swim Season that is successfully completed from start to finish. Referral bonus of $100 to employees that recommend individuals that successfully complete training.
Instructors must be CPR certified or willing to obtain certification or renewal within 30 days of hire. All applicants must agree to and pass a background check.
