Your Role and Responsibilities
Rich experience on DB2 UDB Enterprise Server Edition and Advanced Enterprise Server Edition of all the Versions at least 10 years
Experienced in DB2 LUW Architect role for minimum 5 years with the latest versions
Design Manage and Implement Infrastructure for the DB2 Systems especially with Power HA Clusters, TSA and HADR systems
Design and Planning the Capacity, addressing the capacity requirements of the customer requirement well in advance with proper road maps.
Provide high level solutions and Support to User Issues related to DB2 LUW systems
DB2 DPF, TSM for back-up and restore; AIX (korn shell) and Windows (Perl) scripting experience; DB2 Connect / UDB client installation and support DB2 replication using SQL or Q replication knowledge are must
Doing required POC related to DB2 new updates, fix packs and versions based on customer requirements
Providing 24/7 after hours support /oncall Joining Escalation Calls and provide resolution.
Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision ; Strong problem solving abilities ; Leadership Skills Ability to adapt to change ; Strong Organizational abilities – able to manage multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
Coordinating with IT professionals, PMR team and the Labs to determine the best solutions for a business on both DB2 systems
Suggesting, procuring the new products/tolls required for monitoring and maintenance of the customer environment wrt to the Db2 systems to the client.
Giving Adequate knowledge transfers, training and keeping the IBM team with the latest releases and enhancements on Db2 domains.
Analyzing escalations and sharing root cause analysis reports. Analyze and provide solution regarding client & server side issues.
Preparation for new or changed services, management of the change process, management of performance of systems and services in relation to their contribution to business performance.
Always thinking about high level design for the best back up and recovery strategies and implementing them to the customer to make the 24/7 live systems to the customer on DB2 systsems
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
