MRI is growing rapidly all over the world. HIC Pune is rapidly growing as multimodality site, Philips is currently seeking to recruit a Development Engineer to join the MRI R&D team. The position will play an important role in the development and life cycle engineering of new concepts or MRI major components including RF surface coil, phased array and RF circuits for MRI. This position has the opportunity to work with the world-famous top-level scientists and experienced engineers of Philips. The post will suit an engineer ideally familiar with RF circuits.
You are responsible for
Requirements, design, implementation, test and integration of module/sub-system in accordance with the higher-level architectural requirements and design specifications
Ensuring that the design is consistent with the higher-level architecture and requirements
Ensuring that the proposed design would have the safety, reliability and quality features built-in
Responsible for ensuring that the design meets the performance, quality and cost criteria
Conduct concept and feasibility studies. Leads the introduction of new technologies
Ensuring that there is proper documentation per standards for the developed design
Ensuring the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in modular design that meets the product specification
Ensuring that his design modules meet the product certification requirements
Drawing up personal schedule and reports on progress
Defining and assessing the Work Breakdown Structure/planning/costs of his/her area
Being abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts
Maintaining product and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations
Supplier evaluation and communication
You are a part of
MR Coils R&D team under Precision diagnostic business supporting new product development and enhancements
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
M.Tech /B.E/B.Tech Electronics engineering/RF Microwave Engineering
12+ years of relevant hands-on experience in design & development (one end to end Medical device , Experience in MR coils development experience is preferred) of system/subsystem.
Knowledge of state-of-the-art methods/tools (schematics/simulation) used in electrical design
Experience in RF Electronics designs
Experience in Pre amp based design and interfacing
Experience in cable harness design with safety components
Experience in Low frequency Antenna design, matching and Filter circuits .
Experience in ESD, EMI/EMC standards and testing for conformance
Good hands-on experience in schematics and PCB design tools (e.g. Cadence / mentor Graphics)
Risk assessment & DFMEA .
Experience in design analysis & simulations and interpretation of results.
Knowledge of electro-mechanical design compatibility aspects, placement considerations .
Knowledge of IEC 60601 standards will be an added advantage
Ability to understand and debug problems across Electronics and Mechanical boundaries
Knowledge of Global Medical Quality and Regulatory Standards e.g. IEC, FDA, UL, CE, CSA etc.
Hands-on experience with tools like Agile, Clear-quest, Windchill or equivalent
Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently
Able to guide and mentor young engineers in the team
Result oriented team player
Ability to present and articulate ideas to key stakeholders and leadership team
Excellent communication skills and Positive ‘can do’ attitude
Quality mindset in design and documentation
Global and Cross-functional Experience/Skills in a Matrix Organization will be an added advantage
Able to work on New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Life Cycle Management
Excellent communication and influencing skills required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective team building and delegation skills
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Must have good interpersonal and crucial conversation skills.
Ability to understand and document legacy systems designed by others is a plus
Work under minimal supervision.
