Job Description
This is a full time job. Qualified candidates must be able to work a rotating schedule of 30-40 hours a week. We are looking for high-energy, guest-service minded individuals to help ensure a rich guest experience. We aim to build consumer loyalty by offering a family-friendly atmosphere and an unpretentious Texas wine tasting experience. Tasting Room Key Holders are expected to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask and work efficiently as a team with all staff members. Must be able to follow directions and think critically to problem solve when necessary. Must also be able to effectively manage a team of up to 8 employees. The Key Holder is responsible for opening and/or closing the tasting room, keeping all areas of the tasting room clean and organized, and keeping staff informed of changes in police or new practices. Must attend Weekly meetings with the Operations Manager. This position is primarily in the Tasting Room but at times, Tasting Room Key Holders are required to work events at Lost Oak Winery’s Event Center or at off-site events. This can include but is not limited to working the event and/or setting up for the event.
Job Qualifications

TABC Certification
Experience in the hospitality, retail, sales or related job
Experience working with point of sale software and handling money
Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office suite and Google Drive
Enjoy working with guests and guest-service minded
Endurance for the physical demands of the job
Ability to work mornings and evenings: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
Occasionally work Mondays and Tuesdays
Must be available for 30-40 hours a week
Wine knowledge is appreciated but not required

Responsibilities

Dress professionally
Assist guests quickly greeting each person within 15 seconds
Offer friendly, helpful sales
Assist guests in Tasting Room: tastings, wine/merchandise sales, private event inquiries, Lost Oak event inquiries, shipping wine, etc.
Conduct guided tastings
Run transactions through point of sale software, collect payment
Stay informed about what is going on at the winery regarding Lost Oak hosted events, private events, off-site events, wine trail events, wine specials, awards, etc.
Attend weekly meeting with Operations Manager
Inform staff members of new information and/or changes in policies or procedures
Answer questions regarding wine making, grape growing, vintages, and the property
Ensure that guests have an exceptional experience and take away a positive brand image of Lost Oak Winery
Represents our brand at special events and pouring opportunities as needed – both onsite and offsite
Keep things neat and clean while working
Check bathrooms and clean when necessary
Tidy/clean at the end of shift
Stock wine, glassware, merchandise and other items as needed.
Answer telephones and respond accurately to inquiries
Take detailed messages when needed
Forward leads for private events and weddings
Promote wine club memberships
Keep TABC certification up-to-date
On occasion, required to work outside
On occasion, local travel may be required
Open and/or close tasting room including balancing money tills

Physical Demands
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time. As wine tasting is essential to the job, employees must also be able to taste and smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision and depth perception.”Work Remotely
