Position : Technical Support Specialist – Part Time

Job Description : Global-View.Net is a small business focusing on Internet of Things (IoT) devices (GPS Trackers and sensors). We primarily sell GPS trackers, and we provide access to our software and data plans as a service.
If IoT sounds intimidating to you, don’t worry. We will train you to become an expert in no time.
What you will be doing:
Main Job:

Customer Support – Answer phone calls, e-mails, text messages, talk and guide customers through issues and explain to them how to use the apps
Activate new customer accounts as they come in.
Device Trouble Shooting – IoT devices aren’t 100% reliable, things happen and sometimes we will need to take action to get the GPS tracking devices, or Fleet Management software operating again.
Provide support to our customers via text message, email, and phone calls.
Assist customers in troubleshooting issues with our software and their devices.
Be able to calmly or enthusiastically explain to our customers how to utilize the software.
Create short demo videos or explanation videos for our customers using Loom.
Provide suggestions, ideas, and recommendations to management on improving the customer experience.
Be able to conducts hands on testing of returned devices.

Secondary jobs:
The list below are some of the activities that we need help with, if something seems interesting to you feel free to let us know and we will assign those tasks to you.

Hardware packaging and configuration – Some of our devices will need to be physically packed and configured. This work will need to be completed in-between service calls.
Dispute resolution – Create documentation to countermand customer disputes.

Where will you work?Unfortunately, you will need to come into the office to be trained and get your feet wet and fully understand the job, after this time short WFH opportunities may be available.
Desired Experience (Not Required, but recommended)
1 Year of Technical Experience
OR
1 Year of Office Management Experience
OR
1 Year of Customer Service Experience
OR
Presently Attending College or Recently Graduated from College
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 – $21.00 per hour
