Full Job Description The primary functions of this position are 1) to ensure all equipment is prepared, tested, calibrated, and staged appropriately before use in production 2) to assist in documentation of equipment and process standard operating procedures (SOPs) and 3) to technically support product development efforts through sample fabrication and materials screening tests, as well as constructing new equipment, tools and prototypes.
The position requires basic to advanced knowledge of mechanical assemblies and procedures. Diligent record keeping of test data, performance specifications and parts inventory is required. Adherence to protocols and procedures as well as organizing and maintaining a clean working environment are critical. The responsibilities of this full-time position necessitate a focused, team-oriented person with a flexible demeanor to accommodate the varying demands of an active production and development environment.
Specific Responsibilities
Inspect, test, repair, and prepare stand-alone and integrated equipment and/or tooling packages in a production environment
Commission new testing and production equipment
Prepare and test equipment for daily operations, ensuring full functionality, calibration, and compliance with performance specifications on file
Document any mis-calibrated, damaged, out-of-specification equipment
Complete repairs and adjustments to equipment to manufacturer standards
Maintain electrical safety standards for all equipment
Manage stock control system for spares and consumables associated with production and shop equipment
Assess and sign off in Trainee Logbooks on training & competency for equipment operation
Read, interpret, and implement machine drawings
Fabricate prototype components and assemblies
Construct laboratory samples of composite products for testing and evaluation
Adhere to InduMar Products’ Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, and industry standards
To provide, on rotation, on-call support of production operations
