The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is currently accepting applications for Teen & Early Intervention Specialist. Duties include but not limited to: assigned programming and activities; ensure quality programming; participate on multi-disciplinary team; safety at assigned site; build relationships; administrative compliance and be a positive role model. Services are provided on site during program hours. May be required to provide support services virtually. May be required to assist with community outreach. There is potential for exposure to germs and illnesses. Employees are to follow all safety procedures and protocols.
Work sites are located in low income areas, challenging neighborhoods, and growth neighborhoods. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and at times moderate or very loud. Position requires working with at risk and gang involved youth.
The Comin’ Up Gang Intervention Program serves at-risk and gang-involved youth between the ages of 13-24 years in Fort Worth communities. Comin Up Program provides needs-based services and activities in efforts to reduce gang violence and influence positive change. . Requirements:
Education and Work Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
Minimum 1 year experience with youth (professional or volunteer), experience with teens preferred

Qualifications

Ability to work regular program hours. Required hours are 7:00pm – 11:00pm Monday – Friday
Ability to be a positive role model
Ability to connect with others quickly; ability to establish rapport and build relationships
Ability to facilitate, teach, or instruct
Ability to follow instructions and conform to policies and procedures
Ability to relate to at-risk youth
Ability to set expectations and boundaries
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
Must be detail oriented
Knowledge of technology and software such as tablets, social media, cloud based tools, virtual meeting tools
Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time
Position requires company vehicle. Candidate must have satisfactory driving record and valid driver’s license for operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties and to be covered under company insurance the requirement is for the employee to be a minimum of age 21
Some positions require driving personal vehicle. Candidate must have satisfactory driving record, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and liability insurance for operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties.

Pay & Benefits
Pay: $13.20 per hour
