Job Description : WHAT THIS ROLE IS: A guide to conduct winery, brewery, boat, and sight-seeing tours. This does not require driving the bus or boat, but rather taking care of the people on the tours.
COMPENSATIONWe want you making $300+ each event, this is a mix of guaranteed pay and tips. We WANT more reasons to pay you more money if you are successful and good with our customers. Detailed explanation of compensation below.
PREREQUISITES- Reliable availability on the Saturdays and some Sundays- Reliably be able to meet at pick-up locations within town- 21 years or older
WHO ARE WE?We provide a variety of fun and exciting experiences ranging from leading a day tour of local vineyards and breweries, to hosting events featuring food and wine pairings with live music, and even bringing groups to different festivals and events while making it simple for them to have a fun time.
ABOUT THE TOURS- Regular tours run every Saturday & some Sundays usually from 11 am – 6 pm- Visits 3-5 locations, includes a meal, souvenirs, and is about 40-50 people- We are NOT a party bus but they tend to be very high energy and very fun!
WHO WE NEED?If you enjoy meeting awesome people & showing them a great time, we need your help!Our mission is to provide the best experience possible.The #1 reason why they come back is the positive relationship they had with their guide.This is essential to our company’s success to get the right people for the job!Duties include:- You will NOT be driving the bus- Guiding the tour and connecting with customers- Receive route & roster information the week prior to be familiar with the requirements- Greeting and checking people in the day of the event- Providing clear instructions to the group throughout the day- Mingling with all guests to make sure everyone has a great time- Before and after the event create reports & communicating issues
COMPENSATION (detailed)The payment structure is generous to find the right people and keep them.
GUARANTEED: This is a set hourly that is guaranteed no matter what.STANDARDS HIT: If you are doing the bare minimum of your job you will get these. For example, are you on time? You get that standard bonus. More good feedback about you than negative? Another bonus. These are easy to hit just by doing what is expected but helps us to make sure things are going smoothly.
TIPS: Average tips range between $80 – 250 per day (or more of course)There are 40-50 people per tour. If everyone tips just $5, it adds up quick.If a guide is earning less than $100 in tips per trip it is usually an indication of their performance. Think about a winery tour with 15 couples. Many couples will tip $20 between the 2 of them.
BONUS: Competitions with Other GuidesThis is just for friendly competition and bragging rights!- Bonus for most positive reviews received for the week- Bonus for best response in a tough situation for the week- Bonus for best event write-up
