If yes, we are looking for you! Founders First Capital Partners (FFCP) is hiring an Underwriting Associate.
About Us: Founders First Capital Partners, Inc provides funding and business growth advisory support to diverse founder led small businesses. We provide revenue-based funding and business acceleration support to service-based small businesses located outside of major capital markets such as Silicon Valley and New York City. We focus on supporting businesses led by women, people of color, and military veterans, inclusive teams, and businesses located in low to moderate-income areas.
Physical Setting: San Diego candidates preferred but open to remote candidates.
Responsibilities:

Review all relevant diligence materials (including financial statements, pitch decks, customer references, company product and service offerings, etc.)
Conduct diligence calls with prospective borrowers
Prepare an internal memorandum of your findings for review by FFCP’s Investment Committee
Perform tasks necessary to the close the transaction, including the preparation of key legal documents
Lead and contribute to ad-hoc projects as we continue to build the business

Qualifications:

An undergraduate degree with focus in business, finance, accounting, or economics preferred
Experience in commercial credit analysis at a bank (or similar), is preferred
Excellent analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to synthesize and organize data and information
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools, in particular Excel
Ability to work independently

Compensation: $70,000 to $85,000 based on experience
