A growing, Houston-based professional services firm, G&A Partners is currently seeking an Unemployment Insurance Claims Specialist to join its team with remote capabilities.
This position assists the unemployment insurance manager in the management of unemployment claims. The position will work with the Equifax Casebuilder system in responding to unemployment insurance claims, search the status of unemployment claims, examine for required information in responding to claims, and coordinates with unemployment insurance manager in preparing for upcoming appeal hearings. The position will perform other administrative duties including coordinating with other departments the execution of various unemployment insurance tasks. Provide excellent customer service by responding to telephone calls from state agencies, clients, and former and current worksite employees.Responsibilities: Responsibilities:
*The basic duties of the Unemployment Specialist are to process unemployment claims and assist clients with questions concerning unemployment claims

Processing and managing transactions related to unemployment
Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations related to unemployment insurance and claims
Under general supervision, and guidance from internal departments and vendors, work within general methods and procedures and exercises considerable independent

judgment to select appropriate courses of action

Perform client maintenance for the products listed above
Review and identify data discrepancies inconsistent with company policies, contractual agreements, or customer needs, prior to handling or processing
Manage Exception processing within the established processes or procedures
Involve the appropriate internal or external parties for resolution when challenges arise
Involve the appropriate internal and/or external parties who can interpret and clarify unemployment insurance laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
Responsible for working multiple queues and backlogs

Professional communication skills in providing customer services.
Proficient administrative and clerical skills, including time management, file management, form designs, and typing.
Written comprehension: ability to read, understand, and write information for correspondence with clients and state agencies.
Independent thinking skills in pinpointing issues and strategizing appropriate solutions.
Active listening: Work with relevant stakeholders in the organization to ensure efficiency in work performance and deliverables.
Problem solving skills in addressing issues relating to UI claims
Ability to partner with the UI manager to solve problems
