Job Description : The Veterans Fellowship Program is designed to foster a seamless transition for veterans from active duty to the civilian work environment by providing an excellent opportunity to gain practical work experience in our integrated aviation environment; duties assigned may vary widely depending on the department needs.The one-year fellowship provides an excellent opportunity for veterans with great initiative. Selected veterans will gain practical work experience in our integrated aviation environment. Our program offers an array of valuable growth opportunities:

Hands on work experience.
Heighten understanding of the aviation industry’s diverse facets.
Workshops with subject matter experts on: resume writing and interviewing skills, networking and building relationships, and corporate business practices.
Networking with the leadership team and fellow employees.
Gaining perspective from team members who successfully transitioned from the military to the civilian workforce.

Required SkillsOur Aviation Airside & Terminal Operation Department has a one-year Terminal Operations Coordinator fellowship opportunity. Not limited to the following, the selected individual will demonstrate customer relations competence and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information:

Contributes to the implementation and interpretation of operational objectives; identifies partnership and stakeholders needs; collaboratively determines courses of action to realize mutual agreements;
Facilitates projects, maintenance and properties inspection, environmental, American with Disability Act (ADA) requirements, safety and security, expressive activities; commercial filming and photo shoot activities consistently with mandates;
Identifies problems, resolves issues and advances partnership with stakeholders; issues notice of violation, responds to situations, facilitates decision making and innovative approaches and practices; facilitates the implementation and acceptance of programs, changes, processes, standards, contracts and reports;
Evaluates operational decisions and strategic implications; develops and tracks financial, reports, cost analysis, budgetary data; responsibilities require flexibility to work rotating and shifts including weekends, holidays, and night shifts; performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

Associate degree with a major in aviation management, or a related field;
Two years of experience in the administration and coordination of airport terminal operations and programs;
Or an equivalent combination of training and experience;
Aviation degree may be substituted for up to one year of experience.

Demonstrated collaborative interpersonal proficiency to engage and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels within and outside the organization.
Proven critical analysis, root cause identification and problem solving/conflict resolution abilities.
Strong verbal and writing skills to construct and present compelling information to promote organizational objectives.
Strong close attention to details, organizational abilities to complete assignments within expectation.
Proficient use MS Office Suites and knowledge of access control technology.
Ability to deliver targeted results to specification and on schedule.
Must be able to use effective judgment and self-motivation to complete work assignments and meet commitments.
