Position : Veterans Service Officer

Job Description : Duties and responsibilities include assisting veterans and/or their beneficiaries with completing and filing claims to obtain Department of Veteran Affairs benefits. Qualifications: – Eligible for membership in The American Legion – High School graduate, DD-214 (if veteran) – Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Internet, and Technical Equipment. – Familiarity with medical terminology plus anatomy and physiology is desirable. – Experience in assisting with filing claims for VA benefits is desirable. – Must be able to work well with others under pressure. – Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing. Include a 100-word minimum written statement on why you wish to be a Veteran Service Officer, all certifications if any, and indicate location of position desired. Eligible applicant will be notified for further processing. (Resumes will not be returned)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
