BBC World Service is an international multimedia broadcaster, part of BBC News, delivering a wide range of language and regional services and working increasingly with other parts of BBC News to serve global audiences. It uses multiple platforms to reach its weekly audience of 429 million globally, including TV, digital platforms including social media, FM and digital satellite and cable channels. As part of an historic and exciting expansion, the BBC World Service has launched four new language services serving audiences in India – Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi and Telugu – to work alongside two existing services, BBC Hindi and BBC Tamil.
BBC Hindi.com is one of the fastest growing news website in its segment. BBC Hindi intends to reach millions of new audience through social media, mobile apps and digital partnerships. Apart from the digital space BBC Hindi is also present on TV through partnership. We create entertainment and sports bulletins for our partner stations. BBC Hindi focuses on original journalism, creative storytelling and innovative presentation of news content. It aims to report in a lively and engaging fashion, and interactivity will form a large part of its content across all platforms.
Main Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented Video Journalist to join the Hindi service, based in Delhi.
The successful candidate will produce and edit engaging video content for multiple outlets and digital platforms, will reversion content for difference services and ensure content is published on time to the highest editorial and technical standards.
You also be responsible for on location lighting, filming, editing, post production and product delivery.
Are you the right candidate?
Candidate needs proven skills in Video production including shooting and editing both live and recorded output
Knowledge of editing tools such as FCP is a must
Must have the ability to write basic digital scripts
Must be familiar with digital video formats suitable for various platforms
Live broadcast knowledge is desirable.
Fluency in written and spoken Hindi is a requirement and in English is desirable
