Position : Vistex Functional Analyst

Job Description : Alcon is looking to hire a Functional Vistex Analyst to support our ERP technology organization in Fort Worth, Texas. Our ERP technology team is currently implementing Vistex ERP solution to replace three legacy software systems. In this role, you will act as our Vistex Solution Expert and translate business needs into technical requirements within their specific area of expertise. Additionally, this role captures, analyzes, correlates and reports on technical service, application and process data to ensure optimal performance and identify improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Supports the design, development and deployment of IT Services, applications, systems and processes through analysis of strategy and objectives of the organization, external influences such as competitors, regulatory requirements, best in class practices, and economic factors, as well as thorough understanding of the business processes being supported by the IT Organization.
Act as the main functional resource of the projects, enhancements and supports, they will ensure on time, in budget and quality delivery of project(s) based on the core/template standards and guidance.
Deliver technical expertise in support of specific business applications and business processes in the project(s) based on the existing template.
Identifies and analyzes complex business requirements and processes, to develop and implement a defined system/application to support on-going operations, project(s), IT Services and/or business processes.
Executes the project(s) functional delivery based on the high level effort estimates for their domain.
Supports and/or leads scoping, fit-gap workshops for project(s), proposes solutions for key gaps and provides high level effort estimation to Project Management for CAR preparation.
Captures business requirements and conducts assessments of processes with close collaboration with business and business partners in the project(s).

Accountabilities:

Coaches and consults the business on their best and most cost-effective options.
Responsible for the functional delivery of a project(s) in line with core/template including training and documentation for the relevant functional domain. Delivers according to the project(s) timelines and aligns with other functional areas in the same project.
Evaluates alternative approaches, prototypes as needed, recommends solutions, creates and maintains architecture documentation for the relevant project(s).
Ensures the reusability of solution inventory and/or scalability of the new solutions. Accountable and responsible of design adherence within the project(s).
Supports hyper care, hand-over and post implementation review. Supports and aligns with overall template of the functional domain.
Collaborates with Commercial IT as well as Project Management for project(s) staffing, conducting interviews, proposes/interviews candidates based on the required functional background and supports/leads ramp up process; and to to design the functional model of the relevant domain and define solutions that deliver business value.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or High School +13yrs; Assoc. +9yrs; M.S. +2yrs; PhD +0yrs)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
5 Years of Relevant experience

Preferred Requirements:

Medical device, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience
Desire to learn Government Pricing and Medicaid functionality within Vistex
