Job Description : Waldport, OrFull-time/Part-timeSalary: $75 – $150/dayABOUT THE COMPANYMail of America, one of the nation’s leaders in Contract Delivery Service for the United States Postal Service, is currently seeking mail delivery applicants for the Waldport, Or post office. This is an independent contracting position.To give you an idea of this job and responsibilities please watch this short video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwHCZkc9jH0&authuser=0DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESUSPS mail carriers deliver mail to homes and businesses in cities, towns, and rural areas. They travel planned routes, collecting and delivering mail, obtaining signatures, and answering customer questions about postal regulations and services. Delivery occurs regardless of the weather, although schedules may be delayedSorting mail in delivery sequence for active mailboxesLoading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle.Delivering mail to customer boxes along an assigned line-of-travel.Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items.Other administrative duties are required.Must be able to operate a Right-hand-drive vehicle.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Route delivery/ unloading experienceFormer USPS, UPS, FedEx employeesMINIMUM VEHICLE AND INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS:$100,000/$500,000/$100,000 or $600,000 (CSL) of liability insurance for contract vehicleMail of America provides a right hand drive vehicle and gas for this position.Must be available to start immediately upon hireWork Schedule: Monday through Saturday. Government Holidays observedTime: Start time till finish.Additional income Sundays delivering Amazon if interested.This position is a 1099 contracted positionPay is based on the evaluated route performance from the federal government and is paid monthly at a negotiated rate.Once trained you will work independently for completion of the route.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, ContractPay: $75.00 – $150.00 per dayBenefits:Flexible scheduleSchedule:Day shiftWeekend availabilityLicense/Certification:Driver’s License (Preferred)Work Location: One location
