Job Description : Star Industries is looking to hire a full-time, Spray Paint Prepper with industrial experience to work at our manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Tx. The worker is responsible for preparing all manufactured items for the refinishing and reassembly processes. Must have industrial painting experience. This is a 1st shift position 6am – 2:30pm Monday thru Friday and possible OT.

Primary Responsibilities:
Completes all paint preparation processes according to manufacturing specifications.
Assist painter in pre-paint needs.
Mask, tape, sand, prepare parts & materials.
Utilize proper PPE when performing specific job tasks.
Featheredge surfaces for primer or paint.
Mask machined surfaces, thru holes, hose barbs, electrical connections, and other surfaces as required.
Comply with state/local EPA/OSHA laws and guidelines, adheres to all hazardous waste disposal.
Maintain provided equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Load/unload components in paint booth or media blast booth.
Change air filters as needed for spray booth.
Complete work orders, and utilize computer system, request supplies as needed.
Must comply with all safety and regulatory procedures.
Must operate a forklift to maneuver manufactured items into the paint booth.
May utilize ladders, aerial devices, or scissor lift to reach elevated work areas.
Utilize solvents to clean/prep surfaces.
A strong candidate will have working knowledge of spray equipment.
Required Qualifications:
Attention to detail.
Strong work ethic.
Must have manual dexterity and eye hand coordination.
Must have the working knowledge of the job and various functions.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic computer skills required.
Attention to detail and good organizational skills required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
