Job Description : OVERALL POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for receiving, shipment, storage and distribution of all parts and materials received within the Warehouse and effective organization of the Warehouse.
CORE TASKS:
1. Responsible for moving received materials to the proper storage locations within the Warehouse.
2. Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
3. Accountable for assisting in maintaining the Warehouse in a good housekeeping and safe manner.
4. Accountable for maintaining outside storage areas, trash and scrap dumpsters in a neat and safety manner.
5. Responsible for providing back-up support for the cranes and forklift trucks in Manufacturing.
6. Participate in end of month inventory, as needed and requested.
7. Responsible for shipping and receiving manufacturing materials.
8. Accountable for the proper placement of parts and equipment in storage locations.
9. Accountable for accuracy of received material against the bill of lading.
10. Responsible for maintaining effective interaction with Production in matters concerning inventory and crane loading of trucks.
11. Accountable for monitoring forklift truck safety and training, and maintaining proper documentation.
12. Assist Warehouse with Cycle counting in the Warehouse.
13. Perform all department related “pick and pull” activities for Manufacturing.
14. On an ‘as needed basis’, assist with the preparation of ‘kits’ to be sent to Field Installation personnel.
15. Participate and add value as a member of the Warehouse Department.
16. Engages in effective communication within and across all departments.
17. Participate in Company Safety Program through safety meetings, audits, following good safe work practices and maintaining a safety and clean work environment.

Lead Role: In addition to the core tasks stated above, if an employee under this Job Description is assigned to a lead role by TKAS Management he/she will assist the supervisor in ensuring the cell or department assigned has the parts needed for completion of tasks. The lead role will assist the supervisor with complying with SSQDC standards (Safety, Sustainability, Quality, Delivery and Costs). The lead with help with safety inspections, will assist supervisor with ensuring production work starts on time, and gathering and reporting scrap. Will assist supervisors in ensuring jobs are completed on time and according to budgeted hours. The lead is expected to have basic computer skills to use email and company’s ERP (SAP) system.
Knowledge:

Requires 2-3 years prior warehousing experience in a Manufacturing environment.
Ability to provide professional level customer service.
Possess strong discipline to provide accurate and timely data.
Must be able to work independently, making sound decisions utilizing good judgement.
Impeccable attention to detail, effective problem solving skills.
Able to thrive in a fast pace environment.
Ability to work well with a team.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time – accurately, efficiently and effectively.
Must be self-directed, professional and dependable.
Demonstrate dependable work habits and schedule.
Observe all safety rules, procedures, and OSHA regulations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Manufacturing/Shop Employees

Warehouse/Manufacturing environment, working and walking around moving equipment and on concrete flooring

Physical Demands

Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
