What does this role entail?
Conduct needs analysis with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify and define instructional objectives, learning requirements, and development outcomes.
Apply learning theory and instructional design principles to create engaging learning programs aligned to development outcomes.
Consult and partner with business stakeholders to identify and analyze performance issues and recommend solutions to improve performance.
Train in-house SMEs to facilitate and deliver training solutions.
Design and develop learning programs using a variety of solutions, including e-learning, instructor-led training, manuals, job aids, and performance support resources.
Utilize best-practice instructional development methodologies such as ADDIE or SAM to ensure learning programs and objectives and standardized and consistent.
Partner with the Learning and Development leadership to ensure staff meet mandates and responsibilities for the Association’s certification programs
Design reports in Cornerstone LMS system that provide branch location and department awareness of staff certification expiration periods and mandated training compliance.
Create and maintain online and in-person training programs, enrollment requirements, scheduling, rosters, and automated communications in Cornerstone.
What do I need to bring to the table?
Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Education, Learning & Development, HR, Business, or equivalent experience.
2-5 years training experience developing relevant curriculum or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills including technical writing.
Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
Must be able to work independently on several projects simultaneously.
Understanding and experience with eLearning authoring tools and learning management systems. Articulate Storyline, Camtasia experience is preferred.
Familiarity with virtual classrooms such as GoToMeeting and WebEx.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite; especially PowerPoint.
CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:
American Red Cross
American Heart Association
American Safety & Health Institute
