Position : Animal Caretaker
Job Description : Humanely treat and care for all animals entrusted into our care.Feed, water, walk, socialize and bathe animals according to schedules and established protocol.Clean and disinfect food dishes, litter pans, kennels, cages and yard areas daily.Responsible for laundry and dish-washing duties.Maintain cleanliness in both people and animal areas.Restock assigned areas as needed.Any other duties as assigned by shelter management.Secondary Duties: Assist veterinary staff with restraint and treatment of animals.Administer medications under supervision.Promote Missaukee Humane Society programs and general goodwill among clients and staff.Attend fundraising and adoption events as needed.Qualifications: High School diploma (or equivalent) preferred.Previous animal experience a plusMust be flexible and able to handle changes in a fast-paced work environment.Schedule: TBDWork References RequiredJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From $12.00 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftHolidaysMonday to FridayOn callWeekend availabilityAbility to commute/relocate:Lake City, MI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Experience:animal care: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
