Position : LPN – COVID-19 Immunization Screener
Job Description : LOCATION: Wayne County Juvenile Detention FacilityPOSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Medical Director and Nursing supervisor. The position is the first in-person point of contact for the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility (WCJDF) and thus responsible for adhering to and enforcing the COVID-19 health and safety measures related to facility entrance.REQUIREMENTS: Greets staff, patients and visitorsEnsures temperature compliance of all individuals entering the facility.Thoroughly reviews all COVID-19 screening answers provided by individuals entering the facility.Takes prompt appropriate action for any areas of concern noted on the COVID-19 screening form.Ensures all individuals entering the facility are wearing appropriate masks or handing out masks as necessary.Administers COVID-19 rapid antigen tests as needed.Administers COVID-19 PCR tests to staff within the facility and its parking lot as needed.Complete COVID-19 screening in the sally port as needed.Participates in Quality Assurance activities.Maintains confidentiality regarding youth/residents care, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.Prepares written communication and update reports to WCJDF Health Services leadership.Performs other duties as assigned.SKILLS: A High School Diploma or G.E.D ANDA valid State of Michigan driver’s license and an acceptable safe driving record ANDLicensed by State of Michigan LARA- Nursing Licensing and Regulatory Affairs; and Maintain a valid Michigan Licensed Practical Nurse license throughout employment are all requiredA valid CPR card is preferred.Applicants must be presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis.
