Earn excellent pay and benefits and enjoy a more days off while earning excellent full time pay and benefits!Due to growth, Airgas Dry Ice, the largest provider of dry ice in the country, is seeking day shift and night shift Production Supervisors to join their team at their facility in St. Helens, OR.If you have previous production experience, working 12-hour shifts, and the ability to lead a team of 50 or more in a manufacturing environment, then Airgas would like to hear from you! High advancement opportunities are available for high performing employeesSafety is our # 1 Priority – Safety Training and all PPE and steel toe boots provided.Core Job Duties and Responsibilities: Supervises the safe start-up, shutdown, and efficient operation of the ice plant.Coordinates with local branch to ensure production resources (labor, materials, and equipment) match production demand.Communicates operational status on a continual basis to the Plant and Branch Managers.Complete Safety observations and one on one safety conversations with each associateCompletes written evaluations and annual reviews of production associates.Leads, trains, and disciplines production associates to ensure compliance with Airgas policies and procedures.Tracks supply inventories to ensure that proper materials are on-hand for production needs.Knows and complies with all safety and quality policies and procedures.Identifies and facilitates the correction of all safety hazards and quality deficiencies.Operates a forklift on an occasional basis to meet production needs.Tracks production performance in all areas and completes 5S and housekeeping auditsPerform basic maintenance on all equipment70% of the time within an unconditioned workspace (i.e. warm in summer, cool in winter). Hazards required the use of personal protective equipment (i.e. hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes). Dry ice is extremely cold, and therefore requires that gloves be worn when directly handling dry ice.30% of the time in an office setting (i.e. desk/computer station.On-call and shift work required.About the Company: Airgas, an Air Liquide company is a leading single-source supplier of dry ice.
